Help For Heroes Run

Two brothers, Pete and Paul Morrison set off from Disley train station at 5.30am on the 21st December 2009 to run 31 miles of the Gritstone trail in aid of Help for Heroes. I met them at 8.30am at Teggs Nose and then later cycled alongside them down the canal from the Fools Nook photographing them along the way. They were joined by some serving Royal Marines at the Fools Nook for the last leg of the journey. Once they reached Buxton Road, just in case what they had achieved wasn't impressive enough, the last mile they did a stretcher run, carrying a 'patient' all the way up to the town hall in the centre of Macclesfield. I have huge respect for the guys who ran at a tremendous pace and raised a massive amount of money for a very worthy cause. Here are a few shots from their very long snowy run.
