Town Centre Displays

We've recently done a project for the Cheshire East Council to promote Macclesfield and brighten up the town centre. The series of portraits are popping up in windows of unoccupied premises all around the town. We hope their smiling faces cheer up your shopping trip in Macclesfield.

Family Fun Day

We were at Fina Bar and Grill on Sunday taking photographs of children and families enjoying themselves at the family fun day in aid of Medequip4kids. Along with a delicious Italian buffet Santa was there with a gift for all the children, we also had a visit from Macclesfield F.C mascot - Roary the Lion.

Here are a couple of the pictures we took with a fun, fresh and Christmassy look!

Foggy Nights

Whenever it's foggy I feel inspired to get my camera out and go in search of something interesting to photograph but never usually do it. It was foggy on our day off last week so there was no excuse. I went out into the cold with a camera and tripod and came back with some pretty good shots, well, I think so anyway. Here are a few of them for you to judge for yourselves.

Art Prints

We've just launched a range of mounted prints at a very affordable price of £20. Just in time for Christmas too!

The images are printed on Hahnemuhle fine art paper and presented in a 30cm x 40cm snow white mount ready to be put straight into a frame of your choice.

There are loads to choose from so we're sure there will be something to suit all tastes. Below are just 4 examples.

The prints are available to buy at our studio in Macclesfield or the whole range can be viewed and purchased in the client area of our website. Click on the link below to go straight there.

Pregnancy Portraits

It's important to capture all sorts of special times in your life and being pregnant is certainly one of those times. Below are a couple of shots from a recent shoot with Dee and Gareth.

We think the silhouette focuses on the main purpose of a portrait at this late stage of pregnancy. It's also a great way of capturing this special time without even having to pose and smile.

Embroidery Magazine

As part of the Three Shires Textile Festival in July this year we had an exhibition at the studio and one of our visitors was the editor of 'embroidery' magazine, the official magazine to the embroiderers' guild. Jo was very impressed with the photographs we had exhibited and suggested writing an article on both us and the places we went to produce our work. We weren't quite sure what to expect from the magazine but were pleasantly surprised when we received our first copy, both the design and print are superb.

Our project was based around Paradise Mill in Macclesfield, Masson MIlls in Matlock Bath, The Threshing Barn in Bradnop, Berrisfords in Congleton and Spurcrofts in Macclesfield, it was a great event to have been part of and a real eye opener into the textile industry.

We had such good feedback from nearly 300 visitors to the exhibition that we have put some of the photographs for sale in the art prints gallery of the client area on our website.

Follow the link below to get hold of a copy of the magazine.

Macclesfield Boys Boxing Club

Here are some shots from our recent shoot at Macc boxing club. We went a few days after 3 of the lads had just won belts, a superb achievement for the club!

They are a great bunch of people, all really friendly, despite not looking so happy in our pictures (at our request).

For more details about the club visit their website - www.maccboxing.co.uk

Macclesfield Bodybuilders

We had 3 guys from G's Gym in the studio recently, Paul Norton, Jazz Miralles and Simon Ackroyd. All 3 had just qualified for the British Campionships, each one winning their categories at the Leamington Spa event.
As you can see they were all great models. It was a pleasure to have them in the studio and a real insight into the strict lifestyle of a bodybuilder.

Horse Portraits

Despite being a little apprehensive, I couldn't turn down the opportunity to photograph a horse. We went to the stables at Timbersbrook where ET lives and set up lights and a background before introducing ET to her very different surroundings. She really wasn't very keen on the lights flashing but we still managed to get some fantastic shots. Best of all we made another customer very happy!

Families Magazine

Families magazine has come to Cheshire!
Jane and Caryl, the editors, have asked teneight to shoot their front covers and here are the first 2 editions. The magazine can be picked up in all sorts of places and is full of great features and services, and it's free too so make sure you pick up your copy.

Local Landscapes

We were commissioned to photograph a series of landscapes by Jobling Gowler, a local firm of solicitors. They wanted local scenes as banners for their new website and have since had the images produced as large canvas prints to display in their board room.
Before moving to their fabulous premises on Park Lane, Jobling Gowler were based in Fence House, the home of teneight! They have regular exhibitions in their gallery space at 250 Park Lane which is well worth popping in to see.

Friday

Hello!

We've decided that despite never knowing what to write about our business we'd start a blog! There's been lots of interesting stuff going on over the past few months and we wanted to share it with you all. It certainly won't be updated daily and probably not even weekly, let's go for monthly to start with.

We'll get some of the interesting stuff put on over the next week so keep your eye on us!
