Macclesfield: A New View
As part of the Barnaby Festival we ran a photography competition, the brief was to create a new postcard for Macclesfield, one that adopted a slightly more creative view of the town, here are the winning entries we selected along with three other judges.
Simon James Brown - Putting all things into perspective (Hovis Mill Shot)
Thomas McDonnell - Two miles to go
David Tolliday - Red phone boxes
Dominic Sutton (Aged 14) - It's my back yard

Barnaby Festival 2010!
Anyone who came into Macclesfield on the weekend of the Barnaby Festival saw the town completely transformed, there was a buzz around the whole town with events taking place in some amazing places. Having been involved in the organisation of the photography competition since January we have seen how much time and effort was put in to make sure the festival went off with a bang and it certainly did, all those who thought Macclesfield wasn't capable of such a thing were proved completely wrong. Looking forward to Barnaby Festival 2011 already! Here are a few highlights......

What have we been doing?!
It's been a while since I've updated you with our recent projects and stuff so here goes......
We've had a steady stream of portrait work but loads of other things going on as well, the dogs are still coming in in our efforts to get to 108, we're approaching 90 now, still on the lookout for less common breeds though so please point them in our direction. Here are a couple of our favourites from recent shoots.......

We've had a few weddings recently too and although we don't promote ourselves as wedding photographers, I do enjoy running around at a wedding capturing those special moments. From what I've heard we do it pretty well too! Here are a couple of examples.......

teneight have been at some local nursery schools too, photographing children in a very natural style, like this.......

We've also done some product, pr, and portrait photography for some local companies and design agencies (have a look at the commercial section of the website if you haven't already). We've even extended our skills at photographing animals for food packaging, we don't just do dogs!

108 Dog Project
We are just over half way through our project to photograph 108 dogs in our studio (have a read further down the page to see what it's all about). Keep spreading the word, there's a way to go yet! We've had some real characters in so far, here's a little taster of what the shots are looking like......

Un-Convention Factory
The unconvention factory took place at the Heritage Centre in Macclesfield on the 8th May, it was a day full of music, creativity and beer! Here are a few shots from the gig that evening which included The Virginmarys, Reverend Soundsystem, The Whip, I am Kloot, and New Education.

Three Shires Sportive
Here are a few shots from the Three Shires Sportive, a 100km bike ride taking in parts of Cheshire, Staffordshire and Derbyshire. I was sat on the road for a few hours at Gun Hill and then moved over to Bosley Minn to catch some of the riders twice. I was glad to be driving the course rather than cycling, it looked pretty tough to me. You can get an idea of how high they climbed from the shots below. Congratulations to the guys at Peak Cyclesport who organised a really good event, hopefully this was the first of many!
