Festive Portrait

A recent portrait of our little girl and new teneight test model Zeffie!

The Fine Bedding Company

We've recently done a packaging shoot for The Fine Bedding Company and here are a few of the shots. It was a particularly cold day in the studio so Faith (the model from Nemesis) definitely had the best spot under a warm duvet.

Thursday

More animal work

We've done a few shots recently with IWP for Applaws pet food. Some portraits of dogs for packaging and a portrait of the 3 company directors. A full day of dogs and cats left the studio with a rather interesting odour!

Tuesday

teneight has grown

Zeffie Rae Keenan Wright was born on Thursday 5th August 2010. You'll be seeing some more shots of her soon I'm sure and probably some of her first photographs in the not too distant future!

Thursday

Do you fancy winning £1000?

We will be entering the Kodak/MPA Portrait Awards 2010 which closes on the 30th August 2010. We are offering free portrait sittings to everyone (it's not just for children) and if we select an image from your sitting as one of our entries then you could be in with a chance of winning the £1000 cash prize on offer. For more details, please call us on 01625 500 488.

Pregnant Silhouettes

A little project we've been doing through Lucy's pregnancy which is rapidly coming to an end - just over 2 weeks to go!

Macclesfield: A New View

As part of the Barnaby Festival we ran a photography competition, the brief was to create a new postcard for Macclesfield, one that adopted a slightly more creative view of the town, here are the winning entries we selected along with three other judges.

Simon James Brown - Putting all things into perspective (Hovis Mill Shot)
Thomas McDonnell - Two miles to go
David Tolliday - Red phone boxes
Dominic Sutton (Aged 14) - It's my back yard

Barnaby Festival 2010!

Anyone who came into Macclesfield on the weekend of the Barnaby Festival saw the town completely transformed, there was a buzz around the whole town with events taking place in some amazing places. Having been involved in the organisation of the photography competition since January we have seen how much time and effort was put in to make sure the festival went off with a bang and it certainly did, all those who thought Macclesfield wasn't capable of such a thing were proved completely wrong. Looking forward to Barnaby Festival 2011 already! Here are a few highlights......

Tuesday

What have we been doing?!

It's been a while since I've updated you with our recent projects and stuff so here goes......
We've had a steady stream of portrait work but loads of other things going on as well, the dogs are still coming in in our efforts to get to 108, we're approaching 90 now, still on the lookout for less common breeds though so please point them in our direction. Here are a couple of our favourites from recent shoots.......

We've had a few weddings recently too and although we don't promote ourselves as wedding photographers, I do enjoy running around at a wedding capturing those special moments. From what I've heard we do it pretty well too! Here are a couple of examples.......

teneight have been at some local nursery schools too, photographing children in a very natural style, like this.......

We've also done some product, pr, and portrait photography for some local companies and design agencies (have a look at the commercial section of the website if you haven't already). We've even extended our skills at photographing animals for food packaging, we don't just do dogs!

Thursday

108 Dog Project

We are just over half way through our project to photograph 108 dogs in our studio (have a read further down the page to see what it's all about). Keep spreading the word, there's a way to go yet! We've had some real characters in so far, here's a little taster of what the shots are looking like......

Tuesday

Un-Convention Factory

The unconvention factory took place at the Heritage Centre in Macclesfield on the 8th May, it was a day full of music, creativity and beer! Here are a few shots from the gig that evening which included The Virginmarys, Reverend Soundsystem, The Whip, I am Kloot, and New Education.

Saturday

DJ Shoot

We did some photography for Oliver Lang last week which will be used to promote his new Dojo label and for a feature in DJ magazine. Not sure which shot is being used for the cover yet but I will put it on here as soon as it's been designed. Here are a couple of the shots we did.......

Model Portfolio

Here are a few of the shots from a folio shoot with Euclides from PHA. We got a bit of decent weather so made it up to Macclesfield Forrest with a couple of outfits and stopped for bit of basketball on the way back to the studio.

Tuesday

Three Shires Sportive

Here are a few shots from the Three Shires Sportive, a 100km bike ride taking in parts of Cheshire, Staffordshire and Derbyshire. I was sat on the road for a few hours at Gun Hill and then moved over to Bosley Minn to catch some of the riders twice. I was glad to be driving the course rather than cycling, it looked pretty tough to me. You can get an idea of how high they climbed from the shots below. Congratulations to the guys at Peak Cyclesport who organised a really good event, hopefully this was the first of many!

Thursday

108 dogs

And this is why we need your dog.....

As part of a special project we would like to photograph '108 dogs' individually in our studio.

We are hoping that this will be the first in a large series of books, the theme being '108' of a specific subject, such as '108 hats', '108 twins' and '108 tattoos'.

It is free to take part in this project and prints from the shoot will be available to purchase but there is no obligation to buy (we promise!).

If you would like to be a part of this exciting project please give Alex or Lucy a call on 01625 500 488 or email info@teneightstudios.co.uk and we will arrange a time for you to bring your dog along to the studio.

There isn't a deadline for this project, but as soon as we have photographed 108 suitable dogs we will stop shooting, so don't delay in making a booking to bring your dog in.
